Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Gorden and family, their daughter, Freda Randall and two children came Saturday night from Molalla, Oregon where they have been living since last fall. They stopped on the way and visited their son, Earl and family near Estherville, Iowa. They are staying with their son, Chester Gorden at Pleasanton temporarily. Mrs. Myles Post and son, Paul left Monday to visit in Kansas City for a few days. Her sister, Mrs. Ernest Sellers, is in the hospital there. Mrs. Olllie Parker went to St. Joseph, Mo., Monday to attend the funeral of her brother-in-law. Paul Post spent several days last week with his aunt, Lillie Hubbird on her farm. Dr. and Mrs. Willard Jeffries arrived from Chicago Sunday to spend two weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. N. Jeffries. F. O. John Scott reported back to Douglas, Arizona last Monday. He was accompanied by his wife and two children who will live there until he is moved. Pfc. and Mrs. Ralph Hamilton came from Pocahontas, Iowa Sunday to spend the remainder of his furlough here. He is to report back to Hot Springs. Mrs. Hester Huxtable and Little daughter arrived Saturday evening from Seattle, Washington. They will stay a week and visit their Grandmother, Mrs. Clara Davis and Aunt Lulu Graham and Margaret Newton. Mr. and Mrs. Garvin Pruyn and two children, of Davenport, Iowa came Saturday for a week's visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Pruyn and his sister, Mrs. Austin Evans. Last Monday night Mrs. Lulu Graham and daughter, Naomi were received into the Order of the Easter Star at Pleasanton. Mrs. H. L. Osborn and Mrs. Mark Adams attended the meeting. Mrs. Frank Bowen received word that her son, Captain Paul Wilkinson of the Maritime Service came into port at Seattle, Washington, June 28th and stayed a few hours with his sister at Bay City, Oregon and was shipped out again. Ray Brenizer S 3/c arrived Saturday night from the west coast for thirty days leave with his wife, child , parents, Mr. Ira Brenizer and other relatives. Mrs. Phlinda Henderson was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. John Tharp sunday.
BARRY, thank you. This would be my/our Aunt Mabel Adkins (Mrs Ernest Sellers), but, I didn't know she was in the hospital in KC!
