Leland Dorsey attended Bible school at Tarkio, Mo., last week. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Parsons were business visitors in Osceola Friday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Surbaugh and daughter of Cambria called on his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Surbaugh Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Tuttle, Carl and Doris attended a cooperative supper at the home of his mother Millerton Friday night in honor of Milan Tuttle home on furlough from Shoemaker, California. The High Point Hustlers 4-H club met with Richard Coffey at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Coffey Friday, night with a good attendance. Mrs. Coffey served ice cream. Mrs. Maggie Sponsler, of Burlington, spent the week end with friends at High Point. Mrs. Sponsler had been visiting her son, Keith and wife at Casper, Wyoming and Gail and family at Denver, Colorado, and was called here by the death of her brother-in-law, Ed McCart near Humeston. Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Smith and son of Red Oak, spent the week end at the Ben and Cecil Woolley homes. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Flaggard and family, of Kansas City, came Saturday night to visit his mother, Mrs. Cora Flaggard and brothers, Harley and Maurice. Mrs. Will Ellis and Mr. and Mrs. Ross Tuttle attended the funeral of cousin, Mrs. Archie Garten at Sharon church near Millerton Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Williams and sons spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Williams and daughter. Mrs. Venita Poffenberger and son, Jimmy and Major and Mrs. Charles Gragg, of Centerville visited last week with the ladies parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pearl Parsons and Rosemary, Major Gragg has just returned from Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Surbaugh spent Sunday with their son Kenneth and family at Cambria. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cartwright and daughters of Osceola, Mrs. Grace Cartwright, of Garden Grove and mr. and Mrs. Leo Cartwright and son, Jerry spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Nile Mendenhall and family. Leo has just recently returned home from the hospital at Camp Carson, Colorado.
