    2. From grandmother West's scrapbook Barry West Sweet Creek July 16-Fred Wion and family were Saturday evening caller in Leon. Dick Marshall is helping Fred Wion with his hay harvesting. Mr. Little is helping Mr. Thomas with his hay harvesting. Mary Marshall called on Isabel Wion one day last week. The Sweet Creek people are practicing for the horse drill at Chariton next week. Hank Noftsger and family called on his father, Frank Noftsger Sunday evening. Dwight Wion carried the mail Saturday, it being too muddy for the mail carrier to make the full route.     3. BARRY, thanks again. SWEET CREEK column is from Bloomington Township. My Grandmother Ida Hendrickson Noftsger use to write this column, but she died in 1941. Frank NOFTSGER was her husband and My Granddad. His son Hank is my uncle, brother to my mother Francis Noftsger Sellers. Dwight WION use to deliver mail on his large black horse Midnight when the roads were muddy. My dad bought that horse and I rode him several years.
