Passing this on as I know some of you are researching this surname. Stacey I just received a message from a Phil Smith who recently bought four old diaries of D. W. Albaugh. They date from 1900-1903. Phil is searching for a descendant to whom he can give the diaries. In the process of hunting for Albaugh families, he found the IAGenWeb Family Group Sheet for John Albaugh and Adelaide Reed (http://www.rootsweb.com/~iafgs/albaughj.txt), and is virtually certain the diaries are those of their son Daniel W. Albaugh (1876-1904). Daniel was born in Linn County and is buried in Monroe Township, Linn County. He married Flora Miller in 1903. Phil wrote to the person who submitted the FGS ("rayswork"), but hasn't received a reply. I'd like to help him and see that the diaries are returned to the family or placed somewhere safe and appropriate. If any of you recognize the names above, please let me know. Thank you!
