Local part 3 July 19, 1945 Leon Journal-Reporter I am still handling the Avon products. Mrs. Merle Williams. Mrs. Mary Jane Park of Mount Ayr visited yesterday with Idavee Crouse. Don Price of near Van Wert was in Leon Tuesday. Miss Faye McGahuey enjoyed a week's visit with her aunt, Mrs. Lowell E. McGauhey in Des Moines. Mrs. Rose Springer, who had been in San Diego, California, for some months, returned to Leon Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Leeper of Pleasanton and Mrs. Guy McCullough of Garden Grove are in Excelsior Springs. Charles Evans, who has been enjoying a vacation visit back in Leon, returned last Saturday to Detroit where he is employed in a bakery. Leo Duffield of Kobville neighborhood was visiting with friends in Leon Monday afternoon and also looking after some business matters. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Pearson are the parents of a daughter born to them at the Decatur County hospital last Monday. The little lady has been named Linda Carole. Recently Harry H. Reynolds, formerly of Leon was named vice president of the International Union of Operating Engineers at Burlington. Mr. is employed at the Ordnance plant in Burlington. Mrs. Emma Barry is in Des Moines this week with her son, Larkin Barry and family. Mr. Barry was scheduled to have a major operation this week. Mrs. Barry departed for Des Moines early Sunday Morning on the bus.
