Thanks, Stacey! I only know of one family of my ancestors who came over to America this late. They were my Great-Great Grandparents on my Mother's side - Richard Roberts and Nancy (Berryman) came over from Wales and Ireland about the same time. He landed in Cincinnati and she, along with her brothers, were in New York. When the brothers had saved enough money, they moved to McLean County, Illinois where they bought land and Nancy married Richard in 1860. Right after my Grandpa, Thomas Roberts, was born, they migrated to Decatur County where he ran the mill on Grand River. I had found them in the Famine Immigrants series of books but it's still exciting to see them on the internet and this way I can check on the others in the family. Nancy was only 15 when she came to America with her brothers. That must have been scary and her brothers were only in their early 20's. She had a sister who was 3 years older so I'll check to see when she came over. Our lives are so easy compared to these folks. Anybody else find their people in the Castle Garden database? Thanks again, Stacey!
