Hello Listers! Next week the annual Surnames List emails tests will begin! If you have your email address on the Surnames Lists please check this week to make sure it is correct. If it isn't, then please send me your corrected email address AND A LIST OF THE NAMES your email is listed under so that I can make the changes. For the new people on the list here is how this works: 1. A generic email stating that it is a test to make sure that your email address listed on the Surnames List for Decatur County, Iowa is still working will be sent to everyone who is listed. If you receive one you DO NOT need to respond. 2. Those email addresses that bounce back (unless it says mailbox full) will be listed in emails to the Decatur County, Iowa Mailing List asking for alternate email addresses. 3. If there is no response from the mailing list emails there will be one other search made on a search engine. 4. If a new email address can not be obtained through the search engine then the listing for that email address will be deleted from the Surnames Lists. This process helps avoid the frustration and confusion that happens when someone is looking to share their information and an email address doesn't work.
