Does anyone remember any details about the Fairview Pavilion? I can barely remember being out there with my folks for social events and I can remember later on when it burned with an awesome blaze. The flames went up to the sky and it made a loud roar - we were not able to get within 100 yds of the fire. But I believe it was one of the first non-church meeting places for folks and I also believe it was just about on the site of the air strip which Edgar Hansell and Arch Archibald had made during WW2 - where Edgar was killed in a fluke accident. ... jack
