    2. found in grandmother West's scrapbook Barry West In a long article on Lineville Charlotte Eleanor Duncan, daughter of Joseph A. P. and Margaret Duncan, was born in Mercer county, Mo., March 12, 1870 and passed away July 11, 1945. Her early life was spent in the county were she gained her early education, later finishing her school in the Lineville school where she was known as a quiet, conscientious student. January 18, 1893, she was united in marriage to John T. Elliott, who preceded her in death July 9, 1930. She is survived by two brothers, Henry B. and Harvey G. Duncan, of Lineville, one niece, Mrs. Frank Benton, of Lee Summitt, Mo., two nephews, Joseph G. Duncan, of Lansing, Michigan and Bazzell Foxworthy with the service of his country. Mrs. Elliott has lived her entire life in this coummunity and has a host of friends to testivy to her many graces of character. She was of a retiring disposition but never failed to take a stand for the right where principle was involved. More t han 20 years ago she gave her heart to God and united with the Methodist church, where she has served faithfully all these years. As long as her health permitted she was a regular attendent at all the church services and delighted in the work of the Ladies Aid Society. To her own she was loving and self sacrificing, as a neighbor and friend all that could be desired. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Roy Donelson, were held at 2:00 P. M. in the Methodist church on Saturday. The Lineville male quartette with Mrs. Marie Molleston at the piano furnished the music. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
