This Charlotte Eleanor Duncan Elliott was a cousin of my paternal grandmother, Gretchen Duncan Collins - probably named after our common ancestor (my great great grandmother Eleanor Duncan).. a great many of my Duncan ancestors married their first cousins, and gggrandmother Eleanor was also born a Duncan, and married her first cousin, Alfred Gillis Duncan. The Duncan clan migrated to the Lineville area around 1838 with the Porters, Laughlins, Berrys, Littons, Rockholds, Gartons, Lovetts, Sullivans and others, and many intermarried.
