found in grandmother West's scrapbook Barry WEst Gordon Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Miller arrived here Saturday, July 7th for a visit with his parents and friends, after four months and more in the hospital. Gordon was able to resume his duties on June 30th at the expiration of his furlough he will return to his camp at Purcell, Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. Miller have also had as their guest this week, her father, Clark Scott, of Missouri, returning home Wednesday. S 1/c and Mrs. Carl Bracewell, whose marriage was a recent event, left Sunday evening for Des Moines where she will resume her duties with the Western Union Telegraph Co., and he will return to Norfolk, Va., after a furlough of thirty days for further assignment in Uncle Sam's naval warfare. Latest news fdrom Dean Duben, son of Mayor and Mrs. George Duben, is that he is now stationed at Treasure Island off the coast of California. Mrs. Fred Barber and little daughter, Mary Louise of Leon, visited the early part of the week with her mother, Mrs. Margaret Owen, returning home Thursday evening. Mrs. Mary Spencer and son Jerry came from Des Moines Saturday evening to spend Sunday in their home. Alvin Evans, well known farmer living south of town is a patient at the Trenton Hospital where he submitted to a major operation the first of the week. Mr. Evans seems to be getting along very well at this time.
