The Van Wert Opera House is in "A Century Of Memories Van Wert,Iowa 1880-1980" It had programs in 1909 also 1912. In February 1915 the entire block that contained the Opera House burned. Details can be found on pages 129-130. On page 77 it states High School and jr. High went to Osceola in the Fall of 1962 and the elementary went to Weldon in 1966 which totally elimenated Van Wert school system. Hope this answers some questions. I own the book listed. Donna
