Pearson, oldest son of Joseph and Sarah (Roberts) Pearson, was born at Earlham, Iowa, on April 3, 1893. He departed this life in the decatur County Hospital on February 24, 1978 at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 21 days. On August 25, 1921, he was married to Stella Fesier Rauch. To this union were born two sons, Robert Lester of Alexandria, La., and Billy Leon, who preceded him in death. Bob retired from the Post Office after 40 years of service, working his way up from janitor to assistant postmaster. He then worked ten years as cashier in the Decatur county State Bank. Before retiring a Third time, he worked for while in the Miller Insurance Company office. He is survived by his wife, Stella; son, Robert Lester and wife Patricia of Alexandria, Louisiana; daughter, Juanita Rauch Sivits and husband Lavern of North Platte, Nebraska; granddaughter, Kristie Cooper and husband Robert of Houston, texas; sister, Rufina Rash of Des Moines; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
