Her email is: Weezerz@aol.com Thanks, Deborah Leon Reporter, Leon, Iowa Thursday, October 29, l925 WILLIAM RILEY CLARK was the son of SAMUEL and LUCINDA (SHELTON) CLARK. He was born in Ray County, Mo., May ll, l859, and passed away at his home in Creston, Iowa, Oct. 22nd at the age of 66 years. He was married to MARTHA ELLEN CLARK at Leon, Iowa, l877, and to this union were born seven children, five of who remain to mourn his death; CLAUD, of Portland, Ore.; MRS. FRANK GUNTER, of Winterset, Iowa; LEWIS, of Creston; WILLARD, of Los Angeles, California; and MRS. CLYDE SHELL, of Shenandoah. His first wife died in l899. On March 27, l902, he was married to MARY CORDELIA, GOFF VAN HORN. To this union were born three children, MRS. JAMES COZARD, 206 South Birch Street; CLARA and CLARENCE, all of Creston. He leaves three brothers, THOMAS CLARK, of Haxtun, Col.; WILLIS CLARK, of Garden Grove, and LEE CLARK, of Creston. Short services were held at 9 o'clock Sunday morning at the McGregor & Coen Chapel. The remains were taken to Leon, Iowa, where services were held at the Presbyterian Church and interment in the Leon Cemetery. MR. CLARK made his home at Leon until he moved to Creston l3 years ago.
