Is there anyone on the list that can direct me to burials in Mercer Co, Missouri? My family lived in Pleasanton right on the Missouri line. According to the WPA they are not buried in Decatur County. James Humphries born around 1808. Found last on the 1860 census of Decatur County. Lucinda Humphries born around 1810. Also last found on the 1860 census of Decatur County. Their son and his wife: James Humphries born 1848 and died 21 Jan 1890. Was a Civil War Veteran. Mary A. Humphries died shortly after the 1870 census was taken. Any information of the burials of the family will be greatly appreciated. I will help drill a hole in my brick wall. Thelma in Colorado

If I remember correctly, most these stones were VERY hard to make out.... THere wasn't a cemetery name sign for it... This might help: This one will help.... (this one lists the cemeteries..and the one below is a cemetery map) http://www.rootsweb.com/~momercer/mccem.html (this one may take a while to open....) http://www.rootsweb.com/~momercer/mccemmap.bmp Good luck in your search Ok, on that site...I found that the cemetery I was talking about is the Hutchison/south Pleasanton Cemetery.
