Decatur County Journal Leon, Iowa Thursday, February 22, 1912 Decatur News: Mrs. J.W. LONG, of Leon, spent Thursday here with her parents, Mr. And Mrs. J.W. LANEY. The pupils of the high school and Miss COZAD's room, gave a Lincoln and Washington program Friday afternoon. The room was appropriately decorated with flags and bunting and the music and recitations were highly appreciated by the many visitors. Mr. And Mrs. T. TULLIS Sundayed at the home of their daughter, Mrs. H. FLETCHER. Miss NORA COLTER visited at the home of RICHARD JONES Sunday. Mr. And Mrs. JAMES CALDOW left Saturday for Chicago to visit relatives and friends. W.H. COLTER accompanied a shipment of the five car loads of fat stock to Chicago Saturday morning. JOHN TULLIS and sister, MARIE, visited friends in Osceola Thursday and Friday. The Ladies Aid will meet Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. E.W. TOWNSEND. J.C. COZAD was a Des Moines visitor Monday. Capt. GOODING, of Kellerton, was on our streets Monday morning. B.E. RUSHING, of Humeston, was transacting business here Monday between trains. Mr. And Mrs. O'NEAL, of Shannon City, came Monday to visit at the home of Mr O'NEAL's brother. H.L FLETCHER purchased the DAN MYERS property last week. This will make Mr. And Mrs. FLETCHER a cozy little home. Miss ALPHA MULKEY came from Van Wert Friday evening and remained until Monday morning with her mother. Master NEAL MOORE and Miss LOLA SHELTON, who are students of the Leon High School, spent Sunday here with their parents. WM. AKERS went to Kellerton Monday evening for a short visit. CLYDE NEGLEY transacted business in Van Wert Tuesday between trains. Mr. And Mrs. HARVE AKES and Mr. And Mrs. E.E. BLADES were Sunday guests of Mr. And Mrs. J.C. REUSS.
