If this is the Dr. Harry R. LAYTON who married Martha "Mattie" POST, then he is my second cousin, twice removed. Is anyone related to the surname ALLEY mention? My cousin's maiden name was ALLEY and they were from Leon. Thanks, Jan
Regarding the Alley Family, my great Aunt Helen Harp was married to William Alley, his parents were Mack C. Alley and Jess?. I don't know much about them except that Helen and William lived there lives in Shenandoah. Helen was from Leon but find her in Fisher Fremont County, Iowa with her widowed father according to the 1920 census. 1920 census shows William with his parents in Shenandoah, they married about 1921. Don't know if that helps. Have located and been in contact with Helen's grandchildren Jo ----- Original Message ----- From: "Janice Lund" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, December 23, 2009 4:52 PM Subject: [IADECATU] H.
