Do you have a death date/place for Jesse? I show him born in the spring of 1850 in Mercer Co., MO. I confirm that his parents were James Barton Adair and Elizabeth Savin Newlin, natives of IN and TN, respectively. James died in 1907 but for his wife I only know I last found her in 1885. I have 14 children identified for James and Elizabeth Adair. I connect via their son Thomas B. Adair, 1851-1924, who married Naomi Ruth Wood, 1853-1946, on 9 Nov 1879. Thomas and Naomi had no children. Naomi was a daughter of Henry Wood and Nancy Daft (my direct ancestors via Nancy's sister Mary Ann Wood Bright). James Barton Adair, father of Jesse and Thomas, was a son of Robert "Robin" Adair and Margaret Speers. I last worked on the Adairs in 2002, so I'm not sure if I researched Robert and Margaret as all these are collateral lines for me. I also connect to the Adairs through Ina Leathel Wood who married Mr. Alma Curtis "Doc" Adair in 1912 and sister Enva Wood who married Arthur Milo "Toots" Adair in 1917. And, John Wesley Wood, father of Ina and Alma, who married Sarah Elizabeth Adair as his wife #2 in 1889. And I may have overlooked another one or two Adair cousins <gg>.
