Decatur County Journal Leon, Iowa Thursday, November 23, 1911 JASPER DALE, a former resident of Decatur County, died last Saturday morning at his home in Hawley, Oklahoma. Particulars concerning the death have not been learned by us at the present time. JOHN DALE, ALBERT DALE and SAM DALE, brothers of the deceased, departed Sunday for Oklahoma to attend the funeral. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of all. ------------------------------------------------------ Decatur County Journal Leon, Iowa Thursday, December 14, 1911 WILLIAM JASPER DALE was born in Hamilton County, Indiana, April 20, 1849, and died at his home near Nashville, Oklahoma, November 18, 1911. He moved with his parents to Decatur County, Iowa, at the age of six years, where he made his home ten miles south of Leon until about 12 years ago when he moved to Nashville, Oklahoma, where he lived until his death. He was the oldest of a family of 12 children. He was united in marriage to Miss CLARENA CLAVER, October 17, 1875. To this union were born nine children, six sons and three daughters, who with the sorrowing wife are left to mourn his sudden death. He was a kind father and loving husband. Was converted a few years ago and at the time of his death all was well with him.
