Decatur County Journal Leon, Iowa Thursday, September 14, 1911 Funeral services were held last Monday afternoon over the little body of DOROTHY MAY THOMAS, at the home of her parents, MR. And MRS. CHARLES THOMAS, who live two miles north of Leon, Rev. E.N. Bradshaw officiating. DOROTHY MAY was born May 9, 1910, and died September 10, 1911, aged 1 year, 4 months and 1 day. She was a bright, beautiful, lovable child and will be greatly missed. Another one of His jewels has been gathered from earth. She was laid to rest in the Leon Cemetery by the side of a little sister who had gone on before her into the Heavenly city.
