    3. Mac - I am so sorry to hear of your mother's death.  I always thought growing up that you had the prettiest mother in Decatur!!  I didn't realize she was 89, but guess none of us are getting any younger!!  Please give Denny, Bonnie and Patsy my condolences in her passing.  I assume the burial was in Decatur?  Couldn't remember if your Dad was buried in Decatur or not.  What ever happened to Kenneth Meek, your mom's brother, that was the sheriff years ago??  Was he younger or older than your mom?  I can't believe the Dinky Diner ran out of tenderoins - but they are great.  I always have to have one when we are in Decatur.  It doesn't look like we will make a trip to Iowa this year - we are leaving tomorrow for Branson for a couple weeks.  Lee has his annual fraternity reunion  north of Springfield (Jack is a fraternity brother of Lee's at Northwest Missouri, but he doesn't come to the reunions).  We will stay at our home we have there until the 1st of June.  At least I can get my tenderloin fix in Branson - have found several places that have great ones!!   We do have internet at our home there and can keep up with my e-mails and the Decatur website. Nancee - I was talking to Wendell's wife, Helen, yesterday.  You remember her from years ago don't you when we were all young and first married??  I told her we were related - our great grandfathers brothers - she was surprised and said she would tell Wendell.  Wanda ________________________________ From: Ronald M McClure <rmcclure@hot.rr.com> To: iadecatu@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, May 11, 2010 5:23:07 PM Subject: Re: [IADECATU] CREES ANCESTORS & RELATIVES Hi Wanda......I was just in Decatur the day before yesterday.  Mom died and we went up for the funeral last week.  stopped in at the dinky diner and had a piece of peach pie (couldn't hardly believe they were out of tenderloin on a sunday!) and, of course, had to drive 'round the square a couple of times.......mac hey, nancee, i'm back in town......been gone for the better part of 2 weeks.......mac ----- Original Message ----- From: "Leland Rauch" <lrwr@sbcglobal.net> To: <iadecatu@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, May 05, 2010 9:10 AM Subject: Re: [IADECATU] CREES ANCESTORS & RELATIVES Hi Nancee - I was amazed that we are cousins with our great grandfathers being brothers. I don't think Wendell knows that - he especially didn't when you were married to Ted and were all friends and socialized together. What a small world. Our Crees reunion we have in Decatur is just my first cousins (the grandchildren of Willis & Anna) and our families, but I'm sure if you would like to attend no one would object and you could meet some more relatives. Wendell and I are hosts at the next one in 2011. 3. Ok gang, I too want to know where the best tenderloins in Branson are located. We live between Springfield and Branson and we have a couple of places that we think have great tenderloins but when in Branson we've not gambled. Now if you want a Big meal--go to Lambert's Cafe along Hwy 65 at Ozark--great food and it's all you can eat and they have "throwed rolls", fried okra and fried taters, etc--my retired hubby works there part time during the week and usually is the potato man.
