HI Everyone!! My husband, parents, grandparents, aunt, uncles and cousins all buried in Grand River cemetery. My place is there waiting for me. My husband used to tell people we owned property in Grand River, he just didn't tell it was in the cemetery! I live in AZ. so my sister who lives in Des Moines makes the rounds of the cemeterys in Iowa every year. She just called me, she had taken flowers to four cemeterys between Des Moines and Grand River today. She told what sad shape some of them were in, unmowed grass, untrimmed bushes, flowers that look like they were left from last year. She said she always leaves the one at Grand River till last so she can go home in an upbeat mood. It is always so neat and well taken care of. I thought I would like to tell all of you who live away and cannot visit how well taken care of it is. I don't know if they were put on the website or not but I sent pictures that were taken on Memorial day with all the flags up. It is truly a beautiful, peaceful sight. Happy Memories, Everyone Hazel
