He and Wendell are a lot alike - in looks and personality. They are exactly the same age - Wendell's birthday is in March 1939 and Carl's is May 1939. You need to remind me how you are related to the Crees' - I know you have told me but have forgotten. Yes, we had a great family and a very close family. Our Grandmother Crees (Anna) just lived two houses down the street from Wendell and me growing up in Decatur so we always saw our cousins lots as everyone always gathered at Grandma's on Sunday's. We all have lots of fond memories and as you know we all get together every two years for a reunion at the community center in Decatur. Wanda ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ I grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. My grandma, Pearl (Weldon) Crabb/Woodside lived in a large and beautiful house in Burlington... We too spent every Sunday at her house for dinner. It was tradition that everybody wanted to be a part of.. My heart still swells every time I think of her -- she was my rock. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and whoever else wanted to come, were all at her table for Sunday dinner. We all grew up and went different ways, as life took us.. She passed away in 1986. My sisters and I often talk about the wonderful memories we have of 'our grandma' and all that she taught us. We, too, have a yearly picnic/reunion in Oskaloosa every August and enjoy catching up on everybody's latest.. Alas, as we all grow older, we have those wonderful memories to sustain us. I didn't know - until last year (I think) - that you had a reunion every two years.. Is this open to ALL Crees descendants, or just your branch of the Crees family? Have a great day. Best Regards, Nancee
