I was on the phone with Paula from the State Historical Society and mentioned the condition of the Cemeteries in Decatur County. This is the link she gave me, below. While at a conference for IAGenWeb Coordinators, Dan Clark with the Iowa State Historical Society was there. They are looking for information on Underground Railroads. If you have Decatur County stories about them, I'll pass 'em on. Please share here on the group, too, so Stacey can get it onto her Decatur County site. Maybe Bob would like them too for the museum. One more thing. The next council meeting in Kellerton is Tuesday, city hall, at 7 p.m. If anyone can & will show up in support of the move & salvation of the Foland School house, I can use all the live bodies I can get. If you can't show up, I can use all the e-mails in support I can get. If the council won't give me an extension on the deadline to move it (which I NEED because the grants won't come through until June & July) then we are done and we lost the building. THANK YOU!!!
