For what it's worth...I was told years ago that you are less likely to be stung by mosquitos and BEES if you do NOT eat bananas. sounds silly doesn't it, but something about the smell in your blood attracts them. I thought it was silly so I tested it out, and maybe it's just coincidence, but if I eat a banana in the summer time, within 48 hours I GET STUNG. on the years I do NOT eat a banana in the summer, they avoid me. (so I stock up on Banana's in the winter months, and lay off them when it warms up.) Friend of mine eats banana's all the time, and seems to get more mosquito bites than I do....Maybe it's an "old wise tale" but so far the bitting bugs (mostly) leave me alone.
