    3. The Decatur County Journal Leon, Iowa Thursday, May 2, 1912 Last Wednesday, April 24, being the seventeenth birthday of Miss LOIS RUDIBAUGH, her parents invited a number of her friends to spend the evening at her home near Davis City. The merry crowd assembled at the home of Miss HELEN WAILES, in Davis City, and Mr. SPRINKLE met them there in his automobile and conveyed them to the home of Miss RUDIBAUGH. The evening was spent in different games of amusement. At twelve a delicious three course supper, consisting of salmon sandwiches, pickles, coffee, fruit salad, nabiscoes, cream and cake was served. At an "early" hour the crowd departed in the automobile, deeming Miss RUDIBAUGH a perfect hostess and wishing her many more happy birthdays. Upon leaving they presented Miss LOIS with a beautiful token of remembrance. Those present were Misses Clella McClaran, Helen Wailes, Leah Teale, Emma Adkins, Zula Poush, Cecile Flora, Norma Snethen and Mildred Riley; and Messrs. Roscoe Hagan, Willie Marble, D. Severe, Erald Scott, Lawrence Calhoun, Leon Cummings, Charles Higginbotham, Oscar Goble, Floyd Poush and Coy McDowell. --------------------------------------------------------- Copied by Nancee(McMurtrey)Seifert January 8, 2010 [email protected]
