Decatur County Journal Leon, Iowa Thursday, May 2, 1912 The death of Mrs. MAGGIE PETTY, wife of MONT PETTY, of Morgan Township, which occurred on last Thursday night from obstructed bowels, was one of the saddest we have been called upon to chronicle and every heart in the community is filled with pity and sympathy for the bereaved family. She was the daughter of Mrs. CAROLINE WILSON, of Woodland Township, and was born and reared in this vicinity. She leaves a sorrowing husband and seven young children, and a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn her sad and untimely death.
