The Journal Leon, Iowa August 9, 1883 The Republicans of Long Creek, we learn, will present the name of J.D. STRONG as a candidate for Supervisor for the long term, at the Republican County Convention. No better man in the county can be found for the place, being an old citizen, conversant with the duties of the office, of highest integrity and a staunch Republican. Long Creek claims this place on the ticket as it has never been represented on the Board, and for that matter any office in the county.
