    3. I found some interesting information in the comments area of my great grandfather, although his first name was misspelled (Luther Francis Frazier - first name was spelled Lewlhen). My husband and I had walked Hamilton Cemetery looking for my great-great grandmother's (Lydia Fairbrother Frazer) grave as her obituary stated that is where she was buried, but there's isn't any other record showing that she is. Anyway... the comments area stated that 3 other graves on lot unmarked. I know that one was his wife and one his son and I believe there's a very good chance that the other was his mother-in-law. There's a stone there now, but she isn't listed on it. Two of my great-aunts are buried there also, but that was long after the WPA survey was done. Anyway, I feel it was a successful search! 2. M. Thelma Feese
    3. Hello list, I'm looking for someone in the Leon area that could go to the museum there and see if it still has a Ledger of Postal Money Orders -- a large book. Some years ago I was researching in Decatur Co. and came across the ledger. I'm calling the ledger that as I can't remember the correct title. It tells the date of who bought the money orders and to whom they were sent and how much. Since I was with other people I didn't have time to look at the whole book. If anyone could check to see if there is a listing for James and Lucinda HUMPHRIES or various spellings I would surely appreciate it. I lost track of the family after the 1860 Fed census. It would be nice if a person were to copy the ledger and place on the Decatur website.

    3. The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa Thursday, September 23, 1908 There was a great social event at the JOHN A. MARTIN home, in this city, on Saturday. This was a combined anniversary celebration of a number of the family, whose birthdays occurred near that date, JOHN P. MARTIN, MR. and MRS CYRUS BELL and MRS. RICHARD HOBSON, who resides in Monroe County. There were 62 guests present, 13 from Eddyville and Monroe County and a number from Clarke County. It was a happy reunion of kinsfolk and friends and a bountiful repast was served at the noon hour. The conversation was spirited and reminiscences were indulged in and the past lived over. The gathering will be recalled in future days and old memories renewed. Such meetings are too rare. The following were present from a distance: Woodburn, Iowa: J.H. Robins and Dela Robins.
