    1. the Fairview Pavilion
    2. Does anyone remember any details about the Fairview Pavilion? I can barely remember being out there with my folks for social events and I can remember later on when it burned with an awesome blaze. The flames went up to the sky and it made a loud roar - we were not able to get within 100 yds of the fire. But I believe it was one of the first non-church meeting places for folks and I also believe it was just about on the site of the air strip which Edgar Hansell and Arch Archibald had made during WW2 - where Edgar was killed in a fluke accident. ... jack

We were, also, neighbors to Warren Eliasons, They lived across the road from us, in south Leon up on the Hill on the bi-pass to Hgwy #2. they were wonderful neighbors and she was such a nice lady. I use to walk to school with Don and Leota sometimes but usually they left before I did because they sold milk in town and had to deliver, He was Decatur County School Super for several years, Don visited us one time when we lived in Minneapolis, Minn. 3. Thanks Barry. What memories this brings back. I remember attending the Decatur County Song Fests and Archie COONTZ was the master of ceremonies or whatever.! and Warren Eliason was Superintendent at LeRoy Consolidated School when I graduated from High School. My class was the next to last class to graduate from LeRoy. Then they consolidated with Humeston and Garden Grove and became the MORMON TRAIL SAINTS!. Thanks again. I've had my picture taken by Vaughn Smyth. Thanks Jack and Barry's Mom for confirming who I just thought he was.
