Another collateral line in Decatur County: McBEE. Angeline McBee, born 1831 in TN, m. #1 David W. TUCKER 1850 in Greene Co., IL; m. #2 James Samson BRIGHT about 1859 in Decatur Co., IA as his wife #2, then moved to Stanislaus Co., CA in the mid-1860s and finally settled in Coos Co., OR, where she died in 1913. Angeline McBee's parents are unknown to me but she had a bachelor brother -- William McBEE -- who also settled in Oregon. And, a Vardier McBEE m. a Nancy Catherine TUCKER in Greene Co., IL, and it seems likely they are kin to both Angeline and her first husband. I know there were some McBEEs in Decatur County but I do not know if they connect to Angeline, but if not, I cannot explain what brought this widow from Illinois to Iowa as her second husband's (BRIGHT) family had no links to that state.
