I'll certainly keep my eyes open for Welch or Reed with these families. I'd be very interested in how the families are connected, especially prior to living in Davis Co. I'm having a hard time finding Thomas M Loyd before Davis Co, IA. I know what a family story tells me, but can't find ANY records before 1850. Your Thompson Riley might be the clue I'm looking for.
