If you are curious as to whether there still might be certain families in the Bloomfield area, go to one of the oneline people search sites such as www.switchboard.com and you can enter a surname only plus the city/state Bloomfield/Iowa and it will list any families with that last name in the Bloomfield area it can find. You might also try listing Pulaski, Floris or Drakesville in place of Bloomfield. I think each of these small post offices are still operating. REvans
