I am going to be in Davis County on September 29, searching for information about my gg-grandmother, Margaret A. BARKER, who came to the area from Ritchie County WV in about 1854. The 1856 census lists her with her children but her husband, Ephraim, is not listed. Her second eldest daughter (my g-grandmother, Melissa) was located alone in Cainsville, Harrison Co., Missouri on the 1860 census, and married there, but as for her mother, I can find no record of her after 1856. Is there someone who is either a member of a local Davis County genealogy society or someone with local knowledge whom I could make arrangements to meet September 29, and discuss the local research facilities where I might find some record of my gg-grandmother and her other children?
