Hello Mildred, I just don't know if we have connection or not. The only Mowery connection I can find in the Iowa Census that even remotely matches mine is in Bloomfield Township in the Davis CO. IA census of 1860. The family is listed as Mowrer: MOWRER John 45 farmer France Anna 42 France James 16 France John 14 France Anna 12 France Christian 10 France Matty 4 (mo.??) Iowa My Mowery family lived in the Bloomfield area for many years as well as in Eldon, Iowa later on. Now, in Van Buren CO. in Jackson Township in the Iowa 1860 census there is a Sarah Mowery from KY.
