I am looking for info on Mathilda(THORPE/THARP)CRUMRINE and siblings Jonathan,Jacob,Susan RULERAN and Joseph. Joseph died c 1913 leaving his property in Fairfield to his siblings. Do these folks look familiar to anyone out there in cyberland?
Linda, I have down that descendants of John JONES<John<Malachi settled in/around Eagle Lake in northern IA. Mary/Polly JONES<Elias<Malachi married an OTT and live in southern IA. Henry<Elias<Malachi married and lived in Gutherie Co, IA. That is all the IA connection I see-outside of my line, James<Malachi. He married Barbara WALTERS and all the children, I think, were born in OH. A daughter, I think it was, came to Benton Co, IA with her husband. James and Barbara like it so much that when they got home they made plans to move here, too. If anything looks possible, let me know. I may have more info... Janis
Steve, I guess her name *could* have been Maddy as I am not the one that did the research on them. Janis
Could the ___ADDY be "Maddy"? I am looking for a Rhodda Maddy who was first wife of Varro Marquis Boal (1849-1924). Wanda, Do you show anything in the 1882 HISTORY OF DAVIS COUNTY on a David POWER? He lived in Grove Twp. (Stiles) with his wife, Elizabeth Jane (aka Jane or EJ) FRENCH and 4 children. Elizabeth was the daughter of Franklin Robinson FRENCH and Virginia Irwin. Thanks, Linda Power petey@frugal.com
Dear Linda, Hope I am sending this message to the right place. This is what the census had: 1860 Fabius Township, Davis County, Iowa. Taken 4 July. Jones, John, male, 39, Farmer, born Ohio, residence owner. Jones, Saba, female, 35, born Ohio. Jones, Jonas, male, age 13, born Ohio. Jones, Nancy E., female, age 11, born Ohio. Living next door is the Marshall Jones family. They are also from Ohio. If you would like that infomation I will be happy to send it to you. It appears that Anna Sabry must have been called Sabry or Saba. The census taker may have spelled it wrong. Jane
Linda, Hi! I saw your Davis Co. post. My Jones' were from Ohio<MD<Wales-and some ended up in Benton Co. IA and others in southern IA. Perhaps we can make a connection at some point... Janis

Hi! While I am not in Davis Co. and can't help with your request (I don't think), I am trying to do some research for a friend that has Joel Inskeep as an ancestor. She is related, I believe, to the Jarvis', too-all from/near Davis Co. as I recall. Do these names connect with you? (If you receive no replys, let me know. Perhaps I can run something down for you since I do live in IA-Benton Co.) Janis
Hi, I can't make you a list of Inskeep Cemetery, but I would suggest that you contact the Davis County Genealogical Society at Bloomfield, Iowa. They are located in the Library Basement, or were the last time I was there a few years ago. I think they have books with the cemetery records in them. I have been to Inskeep Cemetery twice. The second time leaving rapidly as it started pouring rain. A lot of the stones in the Inskeep Cemetery are very old and some have fallen over. Some are illegible. My husband's ancestor Peter Vickers Jarvis is buried there. There is a grandson of Peter V. Jarvis his name being Peter P. Jarvis that was married to a Rosa Inskeep. James Thomas Jarvis was married to Margaret Inskeep. She later married Ransom Coop. James and Margaret were the parents of Peter P. Jarvis that married Rosa Inskeep. I don't have it in my genealogy program, but I was thinking that Margaret drew a pension from James Thomas's service in the civil war and I think that one of the officers in the genealogy society has Ransom and Margaret as ancestors. This is from memory and I may be wrong. Luella Inskeep was married to Stephen Peter Jarvis another grandson of Peter V. Jarvis. I have her parents as Charles R. and Mary Inskeep. This is all I have on the Inskeeps. -----Original Message----- From: Cwmom4@aol.com <Cwmom4@aol.com> To: IADAVIS-L@rootsweb.com <IADAVIS-L@rootsweb.com> Date: Tuesday, December 08, 1998 8:10 PM Subject: [IADAVIS-L] NEED SOME HELP PLEASE >Is there someone on the list who could make me a copy of the cemetery listing >for INSKEEP Cemetery in Stiles, Davis, IA? > >I just found out today that the brother of my gggg grandmother, his name was >Pearson Inskeep and his wife was Sarah Longfellow Inskeep moved to that area >and are supposedly buried in that cemetery. Is there someone on the list who could make me a copy of the cemetery listing for INSKEEP Cemetery in Stiles, Davis, IA? I just found out today that the brother of my gggg grandmother, his name was Pearson Inskeep and his wife was Sarah Longfellow Inskeep moved to that area and are supposedly buried in that cemetery. I would like to know who else is buried there, since it is named the Inskeep cemetery. If it is like the Inskeep Cemetery here in Logan Co. OH, it is probably all family. I will be more than happy to reimburse for the cost of copying these pages and postage. Look forward to hearing from someone, Thanks and Happy Holidays, Vicky Burns Ohio
