Hi, Martha, I don't know if there are any STOWERS or MOWERY/MOWARY/MOLLERY in Grove Township or not. Bloomfield is the township I have seen them in before. But, I would appreciate it if you would look for me. Thank you, Nancy Helvey
Dear Linda, no Power or Powers on any of the three, the closest is PRATHER in 1850 and 1852---however, today I did run across the following: Aug 16, 1880 POWER, male born Aug 18, 1880 (yes, I did check, it written this way) Grove Twp. Father born USA, no age given. Mother born USA, no age given. Mother: Jane Power maiden name French; Father David Power, farmer. Reported by F M (or W?) Fucton (?) Bloomfield. This is record #534, LDS microfilm 0968458; Davis Co IA birth records Vol 1 1880-1887. Dear listers, I must repeat, look at item 3. This is to prevent cross-posting and having my offer repeated across the nation,( which has happened before, on a different list, of course!) I will not respond to requests sent to me directly. 3) I will only do lookups for list members, so please request through the list. I will reply through the list. -----Original Message----- From: Robert Roland <rmroland@access2k1.net> To: marich@ix.netcom.com <marich@ix.netcom.com> Date: Friday, November 12, 1999 7:43 AM Subject: Lookup >Martha, > >ROLAND, all three. > >Thx >Bob

Dear Martha, Would you do a lookup for ABNER ORMSBY or OLMSBY....I will greatly appreciate your kind offer. Best regards, Rita Ormsby
I have a copy of alphabetic index for Grove Twp--1850 Federal census, 1852 State census and 1860 Federal census. These list Head of Household and page number ONLY, there is no other data. You will have to read the actual census microfilm for anything else. I do not have any microfilm. I will be happy to do lookups, but to keep my sanity, there have to be some rules. 1) The information covers Grove Twp only, and only 1850, 1852 and 1860 2) I will look up three names in one census OR one name in all three census per request. 3) I will only do lookups for list members, so please request through the list. I will reply through the list. 4) I will try to respond to requests right away, but I do have another life, so please be patient. Martha near Seattle
Just for fun, here is some data: 1850 Federal census: 86 households 1852 State census: 92 households 1860 Federal census: 226 households Martha near Seattle
