I am always working on the Bark family tree (Lincolnshire, England, though some went to Lancashire and Nottinghamshire). I have not found any Michael or Mike Barks that would be of the right era to be your father. Have you access to any archives at a County Records Office to search the Deaths to check? Have you any relatives at all who could give you any information as to when or where he was supposed to have died? The Public Records Office is going on line next January so that should help you.
