Hi, Katherine, I am no expert, but I believe Beaver Island is in Clinton County.  I don't think any part of it is/was in Camanche County.  Are you related to anyone from the Island?  I have many family members from there; I would be interested to see if we have any common relations.  I'd be happy to share any info with you that I might have.
