FARLEY May 10, 1988 (approx) Provided by the Clinton Public Library Clinton, Iowa Chester A. Farley, 76, of DeWitt, formerly of Lansing, died Tuesday in St. Lukes Hosptial, Davenport. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tursday with a 7 p.m. prayer service in Blazek-Hanrahan Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home, Lansing, where a 7 p.m. Parish Rosary will be recited. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lansing. Mr. Farley was born Feb. 23, 1912, in Lansing, to Francis H. and Caroline Meyers Farley. He married Anna Marie Kernan, August 21, 1934, at Lansing. He farmed in the Lansing area and was employed by Carlson Construction Company, Decorah, until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, and a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lansing. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Janet Farley, of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Elmer (Jean) Yeoman of Lansing, and Mrs. George (Judy)Stahl of Iowa City; three sons, James of Decorah, Jerry of Santa Maria, Calif., and Don of DeWitt; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Urban (Ruth) Hawes of Harpers Ferry, and Mrs. Hester O'Brien and Mrs. Bernard (Mary) Goodrich, both of Rockford, Ill. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. NOTE: MR. FARLEY'S FAMILY NAMES INCLUDE NOON, AND O'HARA FROM PUTNAM, CRAWFORD, AND MADISON COUNTIES IN OHIO.
