My greatgrandmother's mother (maiden name Warren)died as she was comming from England to America and my greatgrandfather left three little girls (One with the whites and the other two with other families)and returned to England. My great-grandmother ( a Brocklesby)had two sisters who were also reared by families in the Low Moor area. My greatgrandmother married Samuel Crandall and had three children, two of which lived until adulthood, Eva and Sarah. Samuel Crandall's wife, my greatgrandmother died and the Whites then reared the two little girls. I have a picture of the Whites and the girls made in Low Moor, before 1890? I wonder if anyone else is investigating the Brocklesby Line or if anyone knows anything more about these people. Mr. White was the first Mayor of Low Moor.
