Hello Everyone: It's been Military Madness here at headquarters -- I mean -- I have been putting lots of military info online this morning. It's uploading now. Check out the What's New page or go to the link for Military info. We have a list of 13 young men who died in Vietnam, we have more info on the Sustaining Wings and (drum role please) Vol. 2 of the Roster and Record of Iowa Soldiers in the War of the Rebellion is online on the Civil War page. I cannot thank Fran Barsema enough for typing this info up for us. If you would like to thank her, her email address is [email protected] I know she'd love to hear from you. She is starting Vol. 3 now. It sure doesn't take her long -- those are huge books, Vol. 2 was almost 1200 pages! When an article about the Sustaining Wings was photocopied, this article was with it. I think it is so neat, I had to share it with you. Bobby, if you're out there -- Happy (belated) Birthday!! This was in the Clinton Herald Feb. 22, 1946 Sixth Birthday of Bobby Larsen Marked With Party for Guests Bobby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert L. Larsen, (address omitted), was six years old Monday, and in honor of the event he was host to eleven little boys and girls, who enjoyed a period of games followed by refreshments. Honors were won by Sammy Williams, Charles Nyquist, Betty Broadrick, Charles Horner and Wayne Turney. The celebrant received many gifts in honor of the occasion. Decorations of the table were in pink and green with a birthday cake and six lighted tapers as the central theme. And on that note, I will get back to work -- Take care all The More We Share, The More We Have To Share Nettie Mae Clinton County Iowa Gen Web www.rootsweb.com/~iaclinto/ Clinton County, IAGenWeb Archives Table of Contents http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ia/clinton/clinton.htm www.rootsweb.com/~iaphotos/ IA State Census Project www.iagenweb.org/census/
