Surnames: Phillips- Vickery Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Qk.2ADI/2084 Message Board Post: Seaching for genealogical info on Mary Jane Phillips b. 29 Dec. 1859 d. 29 Aug. 1928 in Ida Grove, Iowa. Her husband was William D. Vickery b. 22 Dec. 1849 in Clinton co. Iowa. Marriage date is 4 Dec. 1879. I believe this marriage took place in Clinton co. Iowa. I believe this couple moved from Clinton co. Iowa to Ida co. Iowa in the decade of the 1870's I have never been able to find out anymore about Mary Jane's heritage. Recently though, I came across another bit of info that may be a clue. Here goes. William D. Vickery (son of Justus Vickery) had a brother Nelson J. Vickery. In the 1880 Clinton co. census Nelson J. is listed with his wife Rosa, two children AND a father-in-law Cyrus Phillips age 66. The info given on Cyrus in the census was that both he & his parents were born in New York State. Now with this recently found cencus info, I am wondering if maybe William's wife Mary Jane Phillips & Nelson's wife Rosa were maybe sisters & daughters of Cyrus Phillips.
