The Clinton Herald published an article April 1, 2006 concerning a stolen car that was torched March 31, 2006 in Springdale Cemetery. The car was found "really deep into the cemetery". It stated that "had it not rained that night, the fire could have been disasterous". It had scorched trees as high as 10 to 12 feet off the ground. There was tall grass all over the area where the car was found at in Springdale Cemetery. The article did not state if there was any damage to tombstones in the cemetery.
