Then I would chide you for using "Looking for information" as your subject line. We're all looking for information kid, so why advertise it? Most research volunteers would just pass by such a post. But since I'm a sucker for young colleens in distress, thought I'd give it a try. On Ancestry I found a WW2 army enlistment record for a Marcus E. Shelley, born Ia. 1916, and apparently was living in Genesee co. Mi. but enlisted at Fort McClellan in Alabama on 28 Oct. 1942. I then went to the ssdi and found a Marcus Shelley born 17 Dec, 1916, passing unknown in Jul of 1961 but ss card applied for in Mi. Then I went to the 1930 census for Surname Shelley living in Genesee co. Mi. And there I found the household not of Edward G Shelley, but Elmer G. Shelley. Elmer is 46, wife Edith W. is 38, children are Margaret E. 21, Charles E. 19, Eugene M. 13 and Harold W. 8. All are born in Ia. except young Harold, born Mi. Believe this is your family and it can be found on the 1930 census for Flint, Genesee co, Mi. Roll 985, E.D. 27, NARA film pg 87A. Hopefully this will get you started Monica. Dick
