In my years of genealogy research I have never saw the question asked or even wondered about it. Can't find any search engine references for it either. But there would be nothing in Clinton co. that woul help you. When they left Clinton they could have gone down the Mississippi river for ports in New Orleans, Louisiana or Texas ports of Galveston or Corpus Christi. But that would have meant a much longer voyage with the Panama Canal not yet in existence. They probably went west, San Francisco Calif. being the major port on the Pacific coast. But any chance of finding records would be your access to data on New Zealand or Oz immigration records. Dick
