    2. I am in search of information regarding the Winkler family which resided in the Wheatland area for many years starting in 1877 threw the 1920's. I am a direct relative of Hannah Winkler and am searching for any info regarding her parents and siblings. I have included the info I know below Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you Lisa The father is Johann Carl Winkler - He went by Carl. Was born in 1834 on Germany. He Died in 1918 and is buried at St Paul's in Wheatland. The mother is a question mark. Reinhold Winkler born in 1865 - died August 04, 1915, buried at St. Pauls He married a Wilhelmina ? ( not sure of her last name). She also went by Minnie. Her mother was born in Wisconsin and her father in Germany. I have no info regarding when they were married maybe 1898. They had two children 1. Eleonora Annabell - 02.02.1899. She married an man with the last name of Roberts and lived in San Bernado, Ca. I believe she may have died there. Unsure if she had children 2. Agnes J Winkler - 03.18.1901. She married Walter Mueller we believe to be from the Clinton area. After leaving IA sometime they lived in Washington state. She may have married an individual with the last name of Ryden later on. Unsure if she had any children. She also lived in CA where she died but still unsure. 2. Hannah Winkler - born July 17, 1869. She is my direct relative. She married Albert Guyer 1894 and moved to Andalusia IL and lived there for the rest of her live. She was my great great grandmother. 3. Emma Winkler born between 1874 - 1875. 3. Hello Lisa; I looked through some of the census and found a couple of entries ..... In the 1910 census, there is a Carl and Wilhelmine Winkler living in Spring Rock, Clinton, Iowa. Both born in Germany and parents as well - He in 1834 and she in 1851. It appears that this is the 4th marriage for him and the second for her. He is living on his own income. She has given birth to one child and one is living in 1910. They have been married for 15 years. He arrived in 1877 and is naturalized, she arrived in 1885. In the 1885 Iowa census, Carl is living in Wheatland with his wife Margaret. Also in the home are Reinhold, 20 and Emma 11. Reinhold and Carl are both working on the RR. In the 1900 census, Reinhold and wife Minnie A. with daughter Ella N. 1, are living in Spring Rock, Clinton. He is working as a clerk ??? and they have been married two years. By 1910 they have two children, Elenora A. 11 (Ella) and Agnes J. 9. Reinhold is a salesman of general merchandise living in Spring Rock.. These census records appear to be related to your family, but I will let you decide. If you would like copies of the original sheets, please email me and I'll be happy to send them to you. Also in looking at the Rootsweb site for Clinton, Iowa ...I did a search on Winkler and came up with an Emma who married in Clinton. She was born in 1871 and came to the US when she was five. Here is the link to the Family tree of her husbands' family.... Worth a look anyway. http://www.rootsweb.com/~iaclinto/people/outlines/stehben.htm Good luck in your search. 3. Mornin' Lisa, Sometimes we ask for to much for to many in different time periods. Usually best to work one household and time period at a time. In addition to Charlotte's find, In 1880 Wheatland Carl is enumerated as CHARLES WENKLER, 46, Prussia. wife Magreta, 60, Pruss. son & daughter Rhinehold 15 & Emma 5, both Pruss. In 1880 Liberty twp is the household of an August Horstmann, living with the family is what appears to be your Hanah Winkler, 11, enumerated as born Hamburg. Dick May you live to be a hundred, with an extra year to repent!
