But your bigger problem is your post is to vague and says nothing for a volunteer to help you. Your initial request gave an age & nativity for Johan but not specifically what you were looking for. "Looking for information" is something you should never use in your request. We're all looking for information on our ancestors but "Looking for" does not tell a volunteer what you already have or more important, what you need to further your research. If you must use a town name, always include the state & co. A town name is not always relevant, and it's not in this case. Primary indexes are by state & county, that's where you want your volunteer to be looking. This response is equally vague. You say the information was received from your grandparent's marriage record but you don't name him or when the event occur! red. When & where do you first have your grandfather on a census record? You need to start there and work backwards so you can find out exactly who his parents were. I will help you if you provide some necessary basic information but I also suggest you re-post on a more local area board and include enough information to identify who you're looking for and when. Be specific in your request. Get your people on the census records first. Then you have more data to work with. Good luck in your genealogical pursuits.
