a suggestion. Any one who has a relative etc. who is in bad medical situation with emending end results should do this. Make a list of questions. Get a tape recorder and go visit them. Ask them the questions as on your list and tape record all. Can't write or remember all you heart or correctly. Then when home transcribe it word for word. I did this and am forever grateful\. Best not to tell them you are taping. Get the tape recorder handy and set up so just need to turn it on. Use a 90 minute tape so can get all on the tape without a chance of having to refill with a new tape. You no doubt will have more questions relative to any answer's given so allow for this to be. wiloma@sprynet.com ----- Original Message ----- From: <cindyheim2@hotmail.com> To: <IACLINTO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 6:30 AM Subject: Re: [IACLINTO] Edwards , Clarks > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Qk.2ADI/880.885.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Wanda Camilla Baty married to Orphus Clark is my Aunt and is still living but > failing fast as she has terminal liver cancer. My mother was Madeline Baty sister > to Wanda..Thank you > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > IACLINTO-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in > the subject and the body of the message >

Just for information - actually one does not have to legally change ones name, although one can. One can use any name they want as long as it is not for fraud or anything else that is illegal. That is even true today. Although that doesn't help you or me because that leaves no paper trail as a legal change would. My main line is Sears. William married Lola Alger and after her death married her sister Emma Alger Stoessiger. Lola and Emma were the sisters of Katie Alger who married into the Sears line. I am assuming that our William Tallett was the son of James and Isabella Tallett. If I am wrong let me know. I believe in the 1900 Clinton census that William lives near James. The only other thing I have is a mention from a Clinton Age obituary that says James moved to Lyons about 1852, was born in England about 1820, and married Isabella King Ellis in England. Thanks for your inquiry.

If you have Ancestry.com or can use it at your local library, you can do a search on the 1930 census for the first names of these missing people, combined with the year of their birth (giving or taking one year on either side of the birth year), and the state of birth from the 1920 census. There may be a lot of "hits," so you could do that search for specific states where you think they may likely be for that census. Your missing woman and her children may be under the name of a new husband. I had a 2gr-grandmother who was married three times, with children from each marriage. The children were always under the name of the next/current husband in the census and I'm sure there were no formal adoption/name change procedures. I used this procedure to find them in the 1860 census. -----Original Message----- From: iaclinto-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:iaclinto-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of lfenlon@charter.net Sent: October 03, 2006 4:04 PM To: IACLINTO-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [IACLINTO] Missing first wife and children-Fenlon This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Hi William, Please don't think this is "Pick on William day", but you have no time frame, no ages & nativities for the two people named, no names, ages, or nativities for the children, if known, and again, since your White family lived in Scott co, where is the Clinton connection? Folks want to help, but they have to know where & when to look It also helps if you are more specific in your request. Are you looking for census records, other records? Ryan is a very common name and subject to spelling variations, as are the given names. Dick May you live to be a hundred, with an extra year to repent!
