Or St. Irenaeus cemetery for a circa birth date or who else is buried in the plot? Either may be a clue to if it's the Walter Quinlan you are seeking. Dick
In the 1910 census, Samuel and Mary Mc Peck are living as roomers with the Calaborn's in Clinton, Iowa. Mary was born about 1887 in Illinois, her father born in Ireland and her mother in Illinois. Samuel J. was born abt. 1883 in Iowa, his father was from Ohio and his mother from Iowa. Samuel is a house painter. They have had one child and one child is living as of 1910. They have been married for six years and it is the first marriage for both. Their child is not living with them. This appears to be all the McPecks' living in Clinton in 1910 although there are several others living in Marengo, Iowa. There are two Quinlan families living in Clinton in 1910. Wm and Catherine with 8 children and Edward and Maria with three children. Edward and Wm might be brothers as they were both born in Ireland. Wm in 1845 and Edward in 1840. If you would like a copy of the census sheet, please contact me off list at hooyah43@yahoo.com and I'll be happy to send it to you. Or if you would like me to check the 1920 and 1930 census for you I will do that too. Bahn, lists Almont as an express office with a population of 75. This data was compiled by Mr. Bahn from the 1890 census before it was destroyed. How an express office differs from a post office I have no idea but just thought I'd throw this info out there. Dick
